Scholarships for cerebral palsy

College-bound students living with cerebral palsy may benefit from a number of scholarships. If no scholarship from the National Fund for students with CP, a series of regional trade exist, and several national opportunities for people with disabilities.
Pfizer Epilepsy Scholarship
Pfizer offers one year $ 3,000 scholarships to students who are under the care of a physician for epilepsy and to meet necessary academic requirements, such as academic success and extracurricular activities. About 25 to 35 percent of all children with cerebral palsy have epilepsy, according epilepsy.com.
ELA Foundation
The Ethel Louise Armstrong Foundation offers merit scholarships for women with physical disabilities who enrolled college or university graduate in the United States. This scholarship is offered annually and information is available in March of each year
United Cerebral Palsy
Even if the United Cerebral Palsy National Fund has scholarships, scholarships are still available through local subsidiaries United Cerebral Palsy. For example, funds scholarships were established in California, Minnesota, Illinois and Massachusetts locations UCP.
Easter Seals
Local Easter Seals affiliate offices in May Deserving offer scholarships to college students with disabilities. For example, the branch in South Carolina has offered annual scholarships for the academic year 1986-87. Opportunities for scholarships vary by region.
Local civic organizations
Local civic organizations, such as elk, moose, Kiwanis and Rotary Club, all can provide financial assistance to students with CP, and numerous scholarships for students with disabilities. Again, opportunities for scholarships may vary by region.
